Vote to concur with Senate amendments and pass a bill that establishes a commission to analyze and discuss the possible secession of counties in southern Illinois to the state of Indiana.

Highlights:

• Establishes an Indiana-Illinois boundary adjustment commission in Indiana (Sec. 3). 

• Requires that the commission is made up of the following members (Sec. 4):

• 5 individuals who are not members of the general assembly appointed by the governor; and

• 5 individuals from the state of Illinois appointed under Illinois law.

• Requires the commission meets at least once per calendar year (Sec. 6). 

• Specifies that the role of the boundary adjustment commission shall be to discuss and recommend whether it is advisable to adjust the boundaries between the two states (Sec. 12). 

• Requires that the commission submits a written report to the general assembly within 60 days of meeting which includes the following information (Sec. 13):
