Vote to concur with Senate amendments and pass a bill that requires law enforcement to report arrestees for suspected illegal immigration status in Indiana.
Specifies that, if a law enforcement officer arrests an individual for a felony or a misdemeanor and has probable cause to believe that the individual is not lawfully present in the United States, the officer's law enforcement agency shall notify the county sheriff of the probable cause during the individual's intake process (Sec. 1).
Specifies that a law enforcement officer shall arrest an individual instead of issuing a summons for a misdemeanor if the law enforcement officer has probable cause to believe that the individual is not lawfully present in the United States (Sec. 1).
