Title: Prohibits State Employees From Receiving Gender Affirming Health Care Services
Vote to pass a bill that prohibits state employees from receiving gender-affirming health care services in Georgia.
Prohibits “taxpayer dollars” from being used for hormone therapy, surgery, and other gender-affirming medical services for the following individuals, including (Sec. 1-4):
State employees;
Retirees;
University system employees;
Prisoners;
Medicaid recipients; or
Any individual who uses state funding or has a state healthcare plan.
Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect January 1, 2026, and apply to all state health benefit plans issued, delivered, or renewed (Sec. 5).
Specifies that any previous laws found in conflict with this bill are repealed (Sec. 6).
