Title: Prohibits Use of Driver's Licenses Issued Without Proof of Legal Residency in the United States
Vote to pass a bill that prohibits the use of driver's licenses issued in states that do not require proof of legal residency status within the United States.
Amends current law to prohibit the state from recognizing out-of-state driver’s licenses issued to individuals who did not prove their legal status at the time of license issuance (Sec. 2).
Requires signage be installed giving notice of these provisions anywhere there is a sign welcoming individuals to the state of Alabama (Sec. 2).
Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect October 1, 2025 (Sec. 3).
