Title: Agent Raul Gonzalez Officer Safety Act
Vote to pass a bill that authorizes criminal and immigration penalties for intentionally fleeing a pursuing Federal officer while operating a motor vehicle.
Authorizes and imposes the following criminal and immigration penalties for intentionally fleeing a pursuing Federal officer while operating a motor vehicle within 100 miles of the border, including (Sec. 2):
If results in no serious bodily injury then a prison term of 2 years and a subsequent fine;
If serious bodily injury results then a prison term of between 5-20 years and subsequent fine; and
If death results then a prison term of between 10 years to a life sentence and subsequent fine.
Specifies that any undocumented individual whose been convicted of or admits guilt to committing any of these violations under United States law is deportable (Sec. 3).
Requires the Attorney General to, in conjunction with the Secretary of Homeland Security submit an annual report to both the Committee on Judiciary in the House and the Committee on Judiciary in the Senate that identifies the number of individuals who committed any of these violations, and summarizes (Sec. 4):
The number of individuals who were charged with any of these violations
The number of individuals who were apprehended but not charged with any of these violations;
The number of individuals who committed such violations but were not apprehended;
The penalties sought in the charging documents of such violations; and
The penalties imposed for such violations.
Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall become effective immediately upon passage and approval by the President (Sec. 4).
