Vote to pass a bill that expands membership of the state's School Safety Commission to include state police in Michigan.

Highlights:

• Expands membership of the state's School Safety Commission to include state police in Michigan beginning January 1, 2025 (Sec. 3).

• Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor (Sec. 3).

• Requires that beginning October 30, 2026, and each October 30 annually thereafter the commission shall prepare and issue an annual report to the House and Senate school aid appropriation committees, the House and Senate Standing Committees on Education, and the House and Senate fiscal agencies detailing its findings, recommendations, and updates for prior initiatives (Sec. 6).
