Title: Authorizes Immunity for Individuals Rendering Emergency Services Who Apply Bleeding Control
Vote to pass a bill that authorizes immunity for individuals rendering emergency services who apply bleeding control in Michigan.
Prohibits civil action against individuals who provided voluntary emergency medical care, actions such as (Sec. 1):
Controlling the bleed;
Putting pressure on wound; or
providing tourniquet.
Prohibits civil action against individuals who provided aforementioned voluntary emergency medical care unless their action demonstrated negligence or misconduct (Sec. 1).
Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor and simultaneous passage and H.B. 5742 as well (Sec. 2).
