Vote to pass a bill that authorizes immunity for individuals rendering emergency services who apply bleeding control in Michigan.

Highlights:

• Prohibits civil action against individuals who provided voluntary emergency medical care, actions such as (Sec. 1):

• Controlling the bleed;

• Putting pressure on wound; or

• providing tourniquet.

• Prohibits civil action against individuals who provided aforementioned voluntary emergency medical care unless their action demonstrated negligence or misconduct (Sec. 1).

• Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor and simultaneous passage and H.B. 5742 as well (Sec. 2).
