Title: Authorizes Victims of Domestic Violence to Receive Unemployment Benefits
Vote to pass a bill that authorizes victims of domestic violence to receive benefits even if they voluntarily left work for their own safety in Michigan.
Authorizes individual victims of domestic violence to receive unemployment benefits even if they voluntarily left work or had their hours reduced to less than full-time for their safety in Michigan (Sec. 1).
Specifies claimants would have the ability to disprove the presumption that they voluntarily left their job without good cause after missing work for 3 or more consecutive days due to extenuating circumstances (Sec. 1).
Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall not take effect until passage and approval by the Governor and simultaneous passage and approavl of S.B. 40 (Sec. 2).
