Vote to pass a bill that requires health insurance companies cover dyslexia testing in New York.

Highlights:

• Requires every policy that provides coverage for physician services, medical, or similar comprehensive-type coverage to provide coverage for comprehensive neuropsychological examinations and testing for suspected dyslexia and not exclude coverage for the screening, diagnosis, or treatment of medical conditions otherwise covered by the policy (Sec. 3).

• Specifies that the provisions for this bill shall take effect beginning January 1 of next year after passage and approval by the Governor (Sec. 6).
