Title: Establishes a Child and Dependent Care Credit Against the Personal Income Tax
Vote to pass a bill that establishes a child and dependent care credit against the personal income tax in West Virginia.
Authorizes credit against tax given by section 11-21-1 for anyone authorized for a federal tax credit for child and dependent care. Specifies the credit authorized to claim is 50% of the federal child and dependent care tax credit (Sec. 11-21-26).
Specifies the provisions of this bill will take effect January 1, 2024 (Sec. 11-21-26).
