Title: Prohibits Foreign Nationals from Donating to Political Campaigns
Vote to pass a bill that prohibits foreign nationals from donating to political campaigns in Georgia.
Prohibits foreign nationals from contributing or donating to political campaigns, candidates, and political action committees (PACs) in Georgia (Sec. 1-4).
Requires agents of foreign principals to register with the State Ethics Commissioner and establishes registration regulations (Sec. 1-4).
Requires agents of foreign principals to disclose to government agencies and the General Assembly when such agents are advocating on behalf of a foreign principal or government (Sec. 1-4).
Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect upon passage and approval by the Governor and repeals any previous legislation found to conflict (Sec. 5).
