Title: Prohibits Public and Private Universities from Considering an Applicants Legacy Status During Enrollment
Vote to pass a bill that prohibits public colleges and universities in the state from considering an applicant's relation to any past, current or prospective donors during the application process in Illinois.
Amends the Public Higher Education Act (Sec. 1).
Specifies in determining admission to a public institution of higher education, the public institution of higher education may not consider an applicant's legacy status or the applicant's familial relationship to any past, current, or prospective donor of something of value to the public institution of higher education as a factor in admitting the applicant (Sec. 1).
