Vote to pass a bill that establishes a framework for transactions involving crypto and digital assets in Pennsylvania.

Highlights:

• Prohibits commonwealth from restricting, prohibiting, or impairing ability of an individual or business from the following (Sec. 3): 

• Accepting digital access as payment for legal goods and services; or

• Maintain self-custody of a digital asset using a self-hosted wallet or hardware wallet. 

• Prohibits the commonwealth from imposing additional taxes for the sole reason that digital assets are used as payment. Specifies that the bill does not prohibit the commonwealth from imposing taxes they would otherwise already imposed (Sec. 3). 

• Prohibits commonwealth to use node for the following (Sec. 4):

• Connecting blockchain protocol on top of blockchain protocol; or

• Digital asset transfer on to blockchain protocol. 

• Specifies what this section of the bill does not override or limit (Sec. 5).
