Vote to amend and pass a bill that establishes Alyssa's Law which creates mobile panic alert systems among various other school safety improvement provisions in Oklahoma.

Highlights:

• Establishes Alyssa’s law (Sec. 1). 

• Requires implementation of mobile panic alert systems by a certain school year (Sec. 1). 

• Establishes system requirements for the panic alert system (Sec. 1). 

• Expands authorization for the expenditure of funds for the purposes of the mobile panic alarm systems (Sec. 1). 

• Requires the mobile panic alert system to accomplish the following, including (Sec. 1):

• Connecting emergency service technologies to ensure real-time coordination among multiple first responder agencies;

• Having enhanced 911 integration with public safety answering point infrastructure to transmit 911 calls and mobile activations;

• Providing immediate alerts to designated school personnel; and

• Creating a comprehensive emergency response plan for emergency responders to receive information such as floor plans and caller location to assist during emergencies, to ensure a prompt and efficient response.

• Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall become effective upon passage and approval by the Governor (Sec. 2).
