Title: Establishes an Alzheimer's, Dementia, and Related Disorders (ADRD) Division and Committee
Vote to pass a bill that establishes an Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders (ADRD) Division and committee in Pennsylvania.
Establishes an Alzheimer's, Dementia, and Related Disorders (ADRD) Division and advisory committee in Pennsylvania (Sec. 2).
Requires the committee to meet on a quarterly basis and have all the following duties and powers, including (Sec. )5:
Assess the current and future impact of Alzheimer's, dementia, and related disorders on residents;
Examine the existing industries, services, and resources addressing the needs of individuals with Alzheimer's, dementia, and related disorders, their families, and caregivers;
Develop strategies to mobilize statewide response to Alzheimer's, dementia, and related disorders;
Advise the department on necessary updates and implementation of the state plan;
Consult with various state agencies and make recommendations on regulations, licensure, financing, or other responsibilities;
Perform other duties as assigned by the Governor; and
Develop and adopt rules for conducting advisory committee meetings.
Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect 180 days after passage and approval by the Governor (Sec. 6).
