Title: Prohibits the use of Foster Youth's Benefit for their Care
Vote to concur with Senate amendments and pass a bill that prohibits the use of foster youth's benefit for their care in California.
Requires a placing agency to act in accordance with specified guidelines and pursuant to certain requirements when acting as the representative payee or in any other fiduciary capacity for a child or youth receive federal Social Security Administration survivors’ benefits ensuring that the child’s federal Social Security Administration survivors’ benefits are not used to pay for, or to reimburse, the placing agency for any costs of the child’s care and supervision (Sec. 1).
Repeals the requirement for that workgroup to make the above-described recommendations regarding feasibility and cost-effectiveness (Sec. 1).
