Title: Amends the Recording of Court-Filed Documents
Vote to override a Governor's veto and pass a bill that amends the recording of court-filed documents in North Carolina.
Amends the recording of court-filed documents in North Carolina, including authorizing certified copies of court-file documents to be recorded without meeting certain conforming requirements of the register of deeds (Part 1, Sec. 1).
Prohibits individuals from unlawfully selling, leasing, or renting residential real property they have no lawful or legal ownership of and specifies violators shall be guilty of a Class H felony and subsequent criminal penalties (Part V, Sec. 5).
Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect beginning October 1, 2024 (Part VI, Sec. 6).
