Vote to pass a bill that prohibits equipment developed by foreign adversaries from being used in critical telecommunications infrastructure, defines "foreign adversaries" in Arizona.

Highlights:

• Prohibits the use of equipment manufactured by federally banned corporations, a foreign adversary, or a company owned by or domiciled within said foreign adversary that is used in critical telecommunications infrastructure. (Sec. 1-2).

• Requires that all current critical telecommunications infrastructure remove and replace any equipment prohibited by this section. (Sec. 1-2).

• Requires telecommunications providers to submit a form to the corporation's commission to certify they are in compliance with this section. (Sec. 1-2).

• Establishes a penalty of no less than $10,000 and no more than $100,000 per day of noncompliance and prohibition from receiving state funds or federal funds distributed by the state to telecommunications providers (Sec. 1-2).

• Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect December 31, 2024 (Sec. 3).
