Title: Amends 988 Call Centers Integrated Data Platforms to Provide Seamless Person-Centered Service
Vote to concur with House amendments and pass a bill that amends 988 call centers integrated data platforms to provide seamless person-centered service in Washington.
Requires that the technology and integrated data platforms in 988 call centers deliver the information critical to providing seamless, person-centered service, including that (Sec. 2):
Have an active agreement with the administrator of the national suicide prevention lifeline for participation within its network;
Meet the requirements for operational and clinical standards established by the department and based upon the national suicide prevention lifeline best practices guidelines and other recognized best practices;
Employ highly qualified, skilled, and trained clinical staff who have sufficient training and resources to provide empathy to callers in acute distress, de-escalate crises, assess behavioral health disorders and suicide risk; and
Train employees on agricultural community cultural competencies for suicide prevention.
Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect beginning January 2, 2025 (Sec. 2).
