Vote to amend and pass a bill that requires that public, private, and indigenous tribal schools carry emergency bleeding-control equipment like bandages and tourniquets, and at least one semi-automatic defibrillator in Washington.
Requires that public, private, and indigenous tribal schools carry emergency bleeding-control equipment like bandages and tourniquets, and at least one semi-automatic defibrillator in Washington (Sec. 1).
Specifies that bleeding-control equipment includes the following (Sec. ):
A tourniquet endorsed by or approved for use in battlefield trauma care by the US Department of Defense;
A compression bandage;
A bleeding control bandage;
Latex-free gloves;
Permanent markers;
Scissors; and
Instructional documents developed by the US Department of Homeland Security, the American College of Surgeons, or a similar organization detailing methods to prevent blood loss following a traumatic event.
Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect immediately following passage and approval by the Governor (Sec. 1).
