Vote to pass a bill that requires that individuals convicted of certain crimes serve 100% of their sentence in Oklahoma.

Highlights:

• Establishes this act as Knight’s Law (Sec. 1). 

• Specifies that individuals who are convicted of sexual offenses shall not be eligible for earned credits in the criminal justice system (Sec. 2). 

• Repeals certain language that was redundant considering sexual offenses (Sec. 3). 

• Specifies that perpetrators of sex trafficking shall not receive a criminal sentence of less than 20 years (Sec. 4). 

• Specifies that individuals who are guilty of human trafficking of a minor shall serve 100% of their sentence (Sec. 4). 

• Repeals certain language concerning fines (Sec. 6). 

• Specifies that there shall be a rebuttable presumption that no condition of release would assure the safety of the community if the state shows by clear and convincing evidence that the person, at the time of the offense, was a registered sex offender and was arrested for a sex crime (Sec. 12).
