• Amends the amount of certain court surcharges (Sec. 1).

• Appropriates funds to entities providing legal services to Vermonters with low income (Sec. 1). 

• Defines “Vermont Net Income” as the taxable income of the taxpayer for that taxable year under the laws of the United States (Sec. 3). 

• Specifies amounts to be allocated for taxes each year (Sec. 6). 

• Appropriates the sum of $2,261,500.00 is appropriated from the General Fund to the Judiciary (Sec. 6). 

• Appropriates the sum of $1,344,700.00 is appropriated from the General Fund to the Office of the Defender General (Sec. 6).
