Vote to pass a bill that establishes new K-12 school policies and modernize parental involvement in certain school settings in Nebraska.

Highlights:

• Amends provisions relating to the involvement of parents and guardians in the education of their children (Sec. 1). 

• Require each public school district to develop and adopt a policy relating to the rights of each parent and guardian to access testing information and curriculum and excuse their child from certain instruction or activities (Sec. 1). 

• Establishes powers and duties to the Commissioner of Education and the State Board of Education (Sec. 1). 

• Define terms under the Tax Equity and Educational Opportunities Support Act (Sec. 1).
