Title: Authorizes the Direct Intrastate and Interstate Shipment of Liquor, Cider, Mead, and Braggot
Vote to pass a bill that authorizes the direct intrastate and interstate shipment of alcohol in New York.
Amends alcohol license statutes to include that out of state license holders may not ship more than 36 cases of alcoholic beverages each year to New York residents (Sec. 1).
Specifies that alcohol license holders must acquire a license from appropriate authorities in order to sell alcohol (Sec. 1).
Specifies what the licensee’s responsibilities are (Sec. 1).
Specifies that Delivery of a shipment in this state by the holder of an out-of-state direct shipper's license shall be deemed to constitute a sale in this state at the place of delivery and shall be subject to all appropriate excise taxes (Sec. 1).
Specifies that the out-of-state shipper may annually renew its license with the authority by paying a $125 renewal fee (Sec. 1).
Specifies that the authority and the Department of Taxation and finance may promulgate rules and regulations (Sec. 1).
Specifies that individuals will be liable for violations of this act (Sec. 1).
