Defines “charter bus” as a bus manufactured or assembled on or after November 28, 2016, transporting passengers for compensation in a chartered party (Sec. 2).
Defines “chartered party” as a group of individuals under a single contract and at a fixed charge, who have acquired exclusive use of a bus to travel together as a group to a specific destination or for a particular itinerary either agreed upon in advance or modified after having left the place of origin by such group (Sec. 2).
Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect 180 days after passage and approval by the Governor (Sec. 4).
