Title: Establishes the Ohio Property Protection Act
Vote to pass a bill that establishes the Ohio property protection act and prevent certain foreign ownership of agricultural land.
Requires that contracts involving the transfer of protected property shall include affirmations on whether a grantee is prohibited from purchasing or acquiring private property regardless of if the property was acquired before this date (Sec. 1).
Repeals previous language concerning value (Sec. 1).
Specifies that the auditor shall not endorse a conveyance of protected property if the statement submitted under this section does not include both of the affirmations required by division (Sec. 1).
Defines terms related to real property and property ownership (Sec. 1).
Specifies who in the state has the responsibility to investigate whether individuals are covered by this act (Sec. 1).
Requires the compilation of foreign adversaries that real properties and agricultural land is not to be sold or conveyed to (Sec. 1).
