Title: Requires that State Questions and Issues Appearing on Ballots Must be Numbered Consecutively
Vote to pass a bill that requires that state question and issue appearing on ballots must be numbered consecutively in Ohio.
Defines terms related to electioneering and ballot issues (Sec. 1).
Prohibits foreign nationals from making a contribution, expenditure, or independent expenditure in support of or opposition to a candidate for any elective office in this state, including an office of a political party (Sec. 1).
Prohibits foreign nationals from making a contribution, expenditure, or independent expenditure in support of or opposition to a statewide ballot issue or question, regardless of whether the ballot issue or question has yet been certified to appear on the ballot (Sec. 1).
Prohibits political action committees or organizations with the goal of supporting a ballot initiative from receiving support from a foreign national (Sec. 1).
Specifies that individuals who violate this act are guilty of a misdemeanor of the first degree on a first offense and are guilty of a felony of the fifth degree on a second or subsequent offense (Sec. 1).
Specifies that the attorney general and any assistant or special counsel designated by the attorney general for that purpose have all the rights, privileges, and powers conferred by law on prosecuting attorneys (Sec. 1).
