Title: Prohibits the Use of Predictive Data Analytics to Make Employment Decisions
Vote to concur with Senate amendments and pass a bill that prohibits the use of predictive data analytics to make employment decisions in Illinois.
Prohibits predictive data analytics using generative artificial intelligence to make employment decisions in Illinois (Sec. 5).
Defines “Generative artificial intelligence” in this bill to mean an automated computing system that, when prompted with human prompts, descriptions, or queries, can produce outputs that simulate human-produced content, including, but not limited to, the following (Sec. 5):
Textual outputs, such as short answers, essays, poetry, or longer compositions or answers;
Image outputs, such as fine art, photographs, conceptual art, diagrams, and other images;
Multimedia outputs, such as audio or video in the form of compositions, songs, or short-form or long-form audio or video; and
Other content that would otherwise be produced by human means.
Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect January 1, 2026 (Sec. 99).
