Title: Prohibits Squat Vehicles and Certain Kinds of Vehicle Modifications
Vote to concur with House amendments and pass a bill to prohibit certain kinds of modified automobiles in South Carolina.
Prohibits drivers from operating vehicles with front fenders raised or lowered 4 or more inches from the height of their rear fender, also colloquially known locally as the Carolina Squat (Sec. 1).
Establishes that violators shall receive a $100 ticket from law enforcement beginning May 10, 2024, for the first offense, and subsequently have their license suspended for repeat offenses (Sec. 1).
Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect 180 days after passage and approval by the Governor (Sec. 2).
