Title: Requires Law Enforcement Agencies to Investigate Allegations of Misconduct
Vote to pass a bill that requires law enforcement agencies to investigate allegations of misconduct when reported in Colorado.
Requires the P.O.S.T. board to suspend the license or certification for an officer that retaliates against an officer for disclosing information about an officer that has threatened health and safety, allegedly violated the law, or retaliated against another officer for disclosing that information (Sec. 2).
Requires a law enforcement agency to allow the public to view unedited video and audio recordings of alleged misconduct at no cost (Sec. 3).
Prohibits an employer from discharging, disciplining, denying a promotion to, demoting, or discriminating against in any other way an officer that discloses an alleged danger to health and safety, an alleged violation of law, or evidence of retaliation against another officer (Sec. 4).
