Vote to pass a bill that authorizes school curriculum inspection reform that requires public schools to comply with written requests from district residents to inspect a textbook, curriculum or instructional material within 14 days and to post lists of adopted textbooks on their websites.

Requires each school board to adopt procedures for inspection of any curriculum or instructional material used in a school or school district in fewer than 14 days (Sec. 1-4).
Defines “curriculum” as a curriculum plan adopted by a school board to comply with state law and defines “instructional material” as any course content or resource included in a curriculum (Sec. 1-4).
Requires that every school board post the list of adopted textbooks on the school board's website (Sec. 1-4).
Specifies that nothing in the bill may be construed to require a school board to take an action that violates federal copyright law and that this bill does not limit any rights a school district resident has to inspect or copy records under open records law (Sec. 1-4).
Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor (Sec. 5).
