Highlights:

• Requires justice-engaged students to be given the following rights, including (Sec. 1):

• Provision of alternate solutions to a general education including alternate education programs;

• Enrollment or re-enrollment in school within 10 business days after a request as long as the student is eligible for enrollment;

• Appropriate credit for coursework completed while justice-engaged;

• A plan for graduation;

• Privacy when questioned about a crime;

• Be evaluated for giftedness; and

• The ability to participate in school activities.

• Requires schools to publish services and resources for justice-engaged students on their website and a designated point of contact (Sec. 1).
