Title: Requires Health Insurance and Medicaid Coverage for Reproductive Health Care Services
Vote to pass a bill that requires health insurance and medicaid coverage to receive reproductive or family planning health care services in New Jersey.
Specifies that the policy in the state should ensure that abortion services can be provided and that insurance coverage can be expanded to all who need it (Sec. 1).
Defines family planning and reproductive health care services as including abortion, family planning and counseling, newborn care, and inpatient hospital care (Sec. 1).
Specifies that family planning and reproductive health care services does not include childbirth within its definition (Sec. 1)
Prohibits insurance contracts from placing delays on receiving coverage for reproductive healthcare and prohibits the need for prior authorization (Sec. 1).
Authorizes religious employers to apply for and be granted exemptions for coverage that goes against the religious beliefs of an individual (Sec. 1).
Requires the Department of Human Services to provide reproductive health care services and cover the costs for people under the provisions of Medicaid (Sec. 1).
Prohibits public entities from denying any individual from being able to receive services associated with reproductive health care services (Sec. 2).
