Title: Establishes an Increase to Short-term Disability Benefits
Vote to pass a bill that establishes an increase to short-term disability benefits in New York.
Specifies that family leave shall have 6 weeks of paid leave after suffering a stillbirth (Sec. 1).
Specifies that the weekly disability benefit shall be at least 55% of the employees wage (Sec. 1).
Specifies that Benefits may be payable to employees for disability leave taken intermittently or for less than a full work week in increments of one full day or one-fifth of the weekly benefit (Sec. 1).
Specifies that the maximum employee contribution that a covered employer is authorized to collect from each employee for the cost of disability benefits shall be one-half of one percent of the employee's wages (Sec. 1).
