Title: Establishes a Temporary Conversion License For Medical Marijuana Dispensaries
Vote to pass a bill that establish a temporary conversion license for medical marijuana dispensaries in Delaware.
Establishes conversion licenses issued to existing medical marijuana center when meeting the following criteria (Sec. 1):
Eligible for renewal under § 4916A Title 16;
Submitted documentation demonstrating how they meet the needs of the medical market and how they will serve the medical market;
Submitted a plan to support the social equity program;
Submitted a signed labor peace agreement with a bona fide labor organization;
Submitted facility dimension if they are a cultivation facility;
Paid the license fee of $100,000:
Specifies payment can be done in installments over a 12 month period;
Specifies 5% discount if fee is paid in full;
Specifies quarterly installment payment over a 18 month period the fee is increased by 10%;
Specifies applicant located in jurisdiction that prohibits the operation of an open license must open in a new location;
Specifies applicant with cultivation facility may have a grow canopy.
